Meet our Doctors & Medical Staff

We are a small but growing practice. We strive to give every patient the attention they need but have the resources to provide state of the art medical care. Our staff employs a caring and responsive attitude at all times. All patients are treated with dignity and respect. Our priority is providing you with quality and compassionate neurologic and pain management services by utilizing the highest standards of medical care. Dr. Jones unique certification in both neurology and pain management allows him the advantage to provide comprehensive patient care by diagnosing, treating, and managing your neurologic and chronic pain conditions.

Dr. Roland Jones

Dr. Jones is a board certified Pain Management and Neurology specialist.   He is the founder of Tallahassee Neurology Specialists. 

He enlisted in the US Army Field Artillery before graduating from Georgia Military College as Valedictorian.  After earning his commission in the Army he served in the Military Police before medical school.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University.  He went on to earn his Medical Degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Jones completed his residency at Wilford Hall in San Antonio, TX and later served as the Chief of Neurology at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.   He completed his Interventional Pain Fellowship at the University of Kentucky.  

Dr. Jones is board certified in Pain Management and Neurology.  He is an Adjunct Professor for the Florida State University College of Medicine and Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Jones is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine as well as the American Academy of Neurology.

When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with his wife and children.  He also enjoys playing the guitar.

We are proud to announce that Dr. Rex Williams will be joing our TNS family next year and will start seeing patients January 13th    

Dr. Williams attended the University of Mississippi and earned a degree in biology. He attended medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Rex then moved to Gainesville, Florida at the University of Florida and finished his residency in Anesthesiology. He remained at UF for his Pain Management Fellowship. During that same year, he worked part-time as the Surgical Intensive Care Unit’s attending physician at the VA hospital in Gainesville. Dr. Rex then moved back to Jackson, Mississippi area where he has lived since. He has four natural children and one adopted child.  He has recently relocated to Tallahassee to join Tallahassee Neurology Specialists.  

Dr. Brian Russell

Dr. Russell is board certified in neurosurgery and a member of American college of surgeons .     He is also a member of the congress of neurosurgery and American association of neurological surgery .    He previously practiced in Springfield, Illinois where he served as chairman of neurosurgery at St. John’s hospital and memorial medical center .  He served as faculty in neurosurgery and surgery departments at southern Illinois university.  Dr. Russell is the current director of Neurosurgery for Capital Regional Medical Center and covers both Tallahassee and South Georgia where he does surgeries at Archbold Medical Center   He and his wife grew up in small towns; Love to hunt, fish and play a bad round of golf.

Abby Thorn -  A.R.N.P

Abby Thorn first received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Central Florida but went back to school to pursue a career in nursing. She graduated from Florida International University in 1993 and began working in the medical field as a nurse for the United States Navy. She received her Masters in Science and certification as a Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife from University of California San Diego and San Diego State University in 2001. After practicing Women's Health for many years, performing deliveries and infertility services, she transitioned to Pain Management. Abby trained and worked under Dr. George Arcos until she joined Dr. Jones in June of 2013. Abby is dedicated to giving her patients the best quality of care and the compassion that patients suffering from chronic pain need. She has been married for over twenty years and has three children. In her free time, Abby is an active member of Spanish Krewe in Springtime Tallahassee.

Lisa Moore, DNP, ARNP

Lisa Moore graduated from Florida State University in 1997 with a BSN in Nursing.  She went on to earn a Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University.  She has broad experience in nursing, including Primary care, Intensive care, and Emergency Room medicine.  After practicing Primary care for many years and even owning her own successful practice, she has transitioned Neurology and Pain Management.  She hopes to use her experience in treating depression and weight loss to help those suffering with chronic pain.  She is married and has two children.  Her special interests outside of work are FSU football (of course), fishing and playing tennis.


 Kayla Spector-P.A.-C

 Kayla graduated in 2009 from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelors of Science in physics with concentration in medical physics.  She then attended Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, where she received a Master of Science in Medical Laboratory Science.  While working in the lab, Kayla realized that she wanted to make a more direct impact on patient's lives and began volunteering as an EMT for an emergency ambulance service outside of Philadelphia.  She went on to graduate with high honors from her Physician Assistant program and received a Master of Medical Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, Florida.  Kayla discovered her passion for neurology while spending several months with our practice during her clinical training, and is excitd to care for our patients with neurological conditions.  In her free time, she can be found enjoying Tallahassee's many parks and trails with her fiance and playing board games with friends.  


 Luis  Elortondo - P.A.-C

 Luis was born in Argentina, where he was raised until he moved to West Palm Beach at the age of 14. He received his Bachelor's degree from FAMU and went on to graduate with a Master of Medical Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, Florida. After graduating PA school, Luis returned to Tallahassee. Luis brings experience from the Emergency Department to our team and enjoys performing in-office procedures to help patients manage their symptoms. While not in the office, Luis enjoys home improvement projects, outdoor sports, and is working on obtaining a private pilot license.


David DeLang

David was born and raised in Western New York. After trying to figure out what he wanted to do in life, he decided to join the United States Air Force and ended up spending 33 years in military service. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Florida State University in 1995 and his Masters of Science in Nursing degree from the Uniformed Services University in 2009. David has experience in medical, surgical, psychiatric, obstetrical nursing and Aeromedical Evacuation. He has a national certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He has been a Family Nurse Practitioner and truly loves taking care of his patients. He is very excited to have joined the TNS team and look forward to providing outstanding health care to our wonderful patients. Although he truly loved the military service and the awesome experiences he received, David is grateful to be a retired veteran and wearing only one hat at TNS as opposed to at least 5 or more when he was active duty. He met and married his wife, Regina while stationed in Alaska. They just celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary. He has two accomplished grown daughters. The oldest is a nurse, married and expecting her first child and the youngest is an exceptional education teacher for grades 5-8. When not working, he loves all things Disney and traveling. He is looking forward to becoming a grandpa!!



Brett Allen- CEO

 Brett received his undergraduate degree in business management and has spent the last 20+ years in the Financial Services Industry, with many of those years focused on the medical field.  Brett loves spending time with his wife and two children.  In his free time Brett enjoys golf, fishing, FSU football and taking trips to the Georgia Mountains.  Brett and his family relocated to Tallahassee five years ago and they fell in love with the city.


Velda S., CPPM- Business Office Manager 


Velda was born and raised in Georgia and currently resides in Cairo. She has worked in the medical field for over 30 years in billing as well as office management. Married for 30 years, Velda has two beautiful daughters, as well as two beautiful grandchildren. Her hobbies include gardening, reading, and being with family and friends as well as the family dog, Georgia.


Julie H., CPC - Assistant Manager

Julie is a native of Tallahassee.  She has been married for 31 years, and has four wonderful children.  She enjoys working in billing/insurance because she is able to use all resources available to ensure patients are receiving the maximum from there benefit coverage.  When not at work she loves spending time with her family, running and watching football.


 Amanda L. –  Clerical Support

 Amanda moved to Tallahassee when she was in 5th grade. She joined the TNS team in August 2014. She has one daughter who is the light of her life.  She loves spending time on the boat, fishing, and FSU football!



Linda C. – Medical Assistant

Linda was born in Defuniak Springs, Florida and has been working in pain management for over six years. She has three daughters, six grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Linda has been married for 34 years. Both she and her husband serve as pastors. Specifically, Linda leads both the women’s ministry and the children’s ministry. In her free time, Linda loves to garden and design flower arrangements.


Sierra H. – O.R. Staff

Sierra was born and raised in Georgia. She has three wonderful children. Sierra is a graduate from Keiser University where she received her Associate of Science Degree. She has been a Medical Assistant for eight years. She has been cross-trained working from the desk to taking care of clinical duties as Medical Assistant. Sierra helps with prepping the patients before their procedures. In addition, Sierra assists with triaging. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. 


Missy N. - Clerical Support

Missy joined TNS in March of 2015 and lives in Bristol FL.  She has been working in the medical field for the last 7 years.  She is married and has two adorable little boys and a beautiful “bonus” daughter.  She enjoys fishing with her husband, spending time with her family and loves Florida State Football! 


Shartara CShatara C.– Medical Assistant

Shatara was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.  She have been a Medical Assistant since 2004.  Shatara enjoys spending time with her two beautiful daughters and watching College Football.



   Traci P.- Clerical Support

    Traci became a part of the TNS family in August of 2017.  She is originally from Tallahassee and now lives in HosfFL        with her husband where they have a family logging business.  She has 5 children ranging from 16 to 8.  



  Makenzie C. - Medical Assistant

 Makenzie  is currently a full-time student at Florida State University and plans to graduate in May, 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology. She hopes to attend Physician Assistant School in the near future. In her free time she enjoys watching college football, GO NOLES!!



    Holli F. - Medical Assistant

  Holli  returned to Tallahassee in 2008. She is currently in route to P.A. school with a focus in pediatrics. When not   working she enjoys the beach and spending time with family and her cat.




 Alivia M. - Clerical Support

Alivia is originally from North Carolina and moved to Florida at a young age. She is a graduate of Florida State University and is currently working on her Masters Degree from Walden University. Alivia enjoys traveling, watching a good movie, and playing with her cat Kiwi.



 Tracie K. - Clerical Support

 Tracie moved to Tallahassee in 2009. She has been in the medical field for 12 years. She is married and has one son. She enjoys spending time with family and has a love for  photography.



   Tiffany W. - Medical Assistant

  Tiffany recently moved from Stateboro GA to Tallahassee to join our medical team. She has a daughter who is her world. She loves hunting and Alabama, Roll Tide Roll!





   Terry G.- Clinical Support/Medical Assistant

  Terry is from Tallahassee and graduated from Concorde Career Institute as a Medical Assistant in 2013. He has been working in the medical field since 2011. When not at work he loves raising his Boston Terriers in Pinetta Fl.




  Maranda S. - Medical Assistant

 Maranda is a proud native of Tallahassee and the mother of two amazing boys. In her spare time she enjoys kayaking  around our  many beautiful water sources. She also enjoys fishing and listening to live music.

 Cassandra was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to South Florida when she was eleven. She discovered her love for the medical field whe she completed the medical assistant program in high school. She received her bachelor degree from Florida State University and she is currently preparing for medical school. In her free time she enjoys being with friends and trying new restaurants.
